The goal of our discipline policy is to develop self-control within children. We will offer appropriate choices to give them practice in decision making. Children will learn to work problems out with their peers through peace conferences. If it is necessary for a teacher to become involved the steps that will be used are:

• Redirection

• Acknowledgment of feelings

• Reminder of rules

• Lead child to the side of class activity to observe

• Assist the child in returning and being more successful

• Follow through with loss of privilege when it becomes necessary
